In 2010 I continued the coverage of the cyclocross season in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. Pictures of the first half of the season are here.
In cyclocross three competitions enroll simultaniously:
the UCI Worldcup, the Superprestige and the Gazet van Antwerpen trophy. Apart from that there are several crosses held troughout the region.
One of the most important is the Belgian National championship. All races are dominated by a small group of riders: Sven Nys, Zdenek Stybar, Niels Albert, Klaas Vantornout and Gerben de Knegt. The Women are dominated by Marianne Vos, Daphny van den Brand and Hanka Kupfernagel. During the season the riders take part in at least one, sometimes two or three races per week.
